Port Fairy Surf Club at Lorne - Feb 19

THE Port Fairy Surf Club sent a strong representation to the Navy Australian Surf Rowers League surf boat races at Lorne last weekend.

Ilona Plant won two bronze medals.


The Shearwater crew of Scott Hetherington, Greg Dalton, Dean Dwyer, Paul Buchanan and Shaun Murrihy won gold.

THE Port Fairy Surf Club sent a strong representation to the Navy Australian Surf Rowers League surf boat races at Lorne last weekend.

Port Fairy's finest competed on Saturday and Sunday in a range of different events and age groups.
The club came home with three gold and two bronze medals.

Mark Plant won gold medals in the single ski and surf board for 35-39 year age groups.

In the male surf boat 180+ years, the Shearwaters won a gold medal.

Ilona Plant was the other place-getter, winning bronze in the women's beach flags 35-39 and the single ski 35-39.
